Recipe!! (without my life story) See the picture below recipe for what I use precisely.
2 TBSP coconut flour (or substitute for whatever you'd like)
1/2 cup Ka'Chava protein powder
optional: 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Optional but recommended: Either 1/4 tsp of stevia (or to taste) OR 1/8 cup of Monk Fruit Sweetener
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp clove
2 pinches of nutmeg (yes, two)
1/4 cup ground flax seed
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup unsweetened almond butter
1/4 cup unsalted unsweetened peanut butter
(Sunbutter is perfect too if you'd like to substitute)
*note if you are only using one butter, make it a half cup
2 TBSP coconut oil
3/4 cup of plant-based milk (or water)
Other Optional ingredients:
1 tsp alcohol-free vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsweetened 100% cacao chocolate chips
You can use your hands to form the balls, use an ice cream scoop, or a couple of spoons.
I like to put on a baking sheet with parchment paper and stick the balls into the frig for a few hours until they firm up a bit. Then I put them in a baggy or bowl and keep them in the frig.
Makes around 15-20 balls depending on how big or small you make them.
You could also flatten them into a parchment-lined baking sheet and after they have firmed up, cut them into bars or squares.
That is it!! YUM
